What is your favorite style handgun?

I love my handguns and recently my custom Tokyo Marui desert eagle internally blew up and if any of you know how much of a pain the TM desert eagles are you understand why Ive just given up! Honestly though a Tokyo Marui was the best gbb Ive ever shot and I want a new one but I am just stuck on which style to go with. I love 1911s M9s and P226s which Marui makes all of. I really love the sigs but I heard they have valve knocker issues and magazine issues. I love the M9s but they just aren't very customizable. The 1911s I have clones of by the truck load so I think I am going to go with the P226 and eventually add a guarder full metal stainless kit. What do you guys think would be a great new sidearm skirmish gun?

Aeg Sniper vs Bolt Action Sniper

Which is better for use as a Sniper rifle? Most people automatically think bolt action because it is designed for sniping. This isn't always true especially if guns like the we m14 keep coming out. Aegs aren't often seen as a sniper platform because to play on fields they have to be converted to semi auto capability only and people just find that its to complicated. If you decide you want an AEG sniper platform you'll have a few advantages. With an AEG sniper you can keep shooting with out ever removing your eyes off target, you can send a few rounds down range and you have the availability of using many more different magazine types. If you can build an AEG sniper then life will be much easier then a bolt action. But the bolt actions can have more power right? No you can upgrade an AEG to shoot much harder the bolt actions. Yes it is very costly but it is very much possible because there are plenty of people who have done it!The thing about bolt action is the feeling but it takes time to build up the skill to use one.

What Weather Can I Play In?

Hey guys this seems to be a fairly common question from people to what weather they can play in and at the end of the day have your gear work. The most common climate seems to be "can i play in the snow?". I had a nice match this previous weekend in a wintery mix. i used a Co2 mag in my kjw Beretta since green gas doesn't like the cold all that much. That turned out fine along with my 2 aegs and bolt action. Obviously the bolt action was fine since there isn't much to it but most concerns are for aegs.My 2 cents is to keep your equipment in good condition by releasing the spring and cleaning before and after a game. I believe it will be fine as long as you keep your equipment in top care and you don't play in extreme conditions. A drizzle or short snow showers shouldn't murder your aeg.

Stag Ar Platform

The image is of a real steel Stag arms model 5 6.8spc. Yes it is mine but what does it have to do with airsoft? Well I'm going over how alike it is to my echo1 m4a1 licensed by Stag arms! Cosmetically they very hard to tell the difference from other than the trademarks on the airsoft stand out as they are white to make them pop a little but more and mine is ABS plastic because I didn't purchase the full metal version. The dimensions are exact as they both line up from muzzle to butt stock. And the rails can use each others iron sights! I ended up buying my Echo 1 for an age and to see how
Close it was to my AR and its exact same trade marks other then then airsoft is modeled after the 5.56 as to the 6.8 spc. Echo 1 Stag trademarks are definitely a signature for the manufacture.

How to Cheeply Short Stroke Your 1911 GBB

What is short stroking and how will it help? Short stroking is basically reducing how far the slide goes back on your pistol which helps in recoil and faster cycling/ROF. The down fall to this is that when your out of rounds the slide will not lock back. It isn't to hard figure out how much you can use to allow the gun to cycle properly but it takes a lot of trial and error which can be very time consuming. I have figured out a cheep simple way that works perfectly on both of my TM compatible 1911s one single stack and one double. If your 1911 is not TM compatible i can not guarantee perfect cycling but it could still work and you will understand the concept. First you need to do a basic field strip of you GBB and set everything aside but your spring guide set up and recoil spring. It should have already a rubber ring to act as a washer and a thin metal washer. You are going to replace these with small lego tires. The small treaded type or the small smooth type. I used two small treaded tires on my guns you can use one small smooth tire. You then replace the metal washer on top then the spring and put the gun back together.

Airsoft IPSC Shot Counter App

I came across this nifty app yesterday on my iPhone and thought I'd share it with you. This app is for counting and timing the shots you take until you hit stop. You can use this to time home trial IPSC, practice, or even how long and how many shots to clear a room. This can be used for airsoft and real steel! It is very adjustable for sensitivity, delayed starts, random starts, and for different environments to account for echoes like indoor an outdoor setups. It took a mag or two to figure out adjustments on where I want it with my gbb project gun but well worth it. I can actually just clip my phone on to my pants hit random delayed timer and go till I'm clear then hit stop. The best part is that it is free! So this little app gets a 10 for 10!
